About the Client:
Our client operates one of Waiheke Island’s premier beachfront restaurants, offering an elevated yet welcoming dining experience. This is a destination venue where breathtaking ocean views meet a meticulously crafted menu. With a strong reputation for excellence, a dynamic service team, and an outstanding wine program, this restaurant is a favorite among both locals and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 25-30 staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure seamless restaurant operations, maintaining high service standards.
  • Drive revenue through proactive decision-making and strategic planning to enhance guest experience and spending.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of food and beverage trends, ensuring the restaurant remains at the forefront of the industry.
  • Manage financial performance, including profit and loss responsibilities, cost control, and budgeting.
  • Develop and mentor staff, creating a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospitality management experience in a New Zealand premium dining environment.
  • Highly articulate communicator with exceptional leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure settings while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of food, wine, and beverage trends, particularly within New Zealand.
  • A proactive and hands-on leader who can inspire and engage the team.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
