Manage our clients pastry section, assisting with service and leading a Junior Pastry Chef whilst collaborating with the restaurants Head Chef

Our client has owned this business for 30 years, establishing it as a scenic destination in Snells Beach, New Zealand, where visitors can enjoy a one-of-a-kind combination of natural beauty, art, and fine wine. The Role: 
 
Will see the successful candidate be responsible for managing their pastry section, implementing new menus, assisting with service and leading a Junior Pastry Chef whilst collaborating with the restaurant's Head Chef. 
 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef ideally in a premium dining environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of pastry chef experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Pastry techniques and ingredients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Someone who can work independently 
  • Be able to implement new menus and assist with service
  • Keep up with Health and Safety and recipe books updates
  • Passionate, dedicated, and committed to perfection
