The Branch Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Queenstown location, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining fleet operations. This role involves managing customer relationships, supplier communications for repairs and maintenance, and coordinating rental services to meet the demands of a peak winter season. Strong leadership, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the team of staff, ensuring a high level of performance, customer service, and efficiency.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Queenstown branch, including vehicle rentals, customer interactions, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure the fleet is maintained and managed, working closely with suppliers for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, maintaining morale, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained at all times.
- Coordinate rental operations to ensure vehicles are available, clean, and in good condition for customers.
- Manage performance metrics and work with senior management to implement strategies that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Assist with recruitment and training to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Report on performance, operations, and any issues to the Area Manager in Christchurch.
- Maintain operational documentation, ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and ensure smooth branch operations.
- Provide support and direction to team members, particularly during peak seasons.

- Strong operational knowledge and experience in fleet management or related industries.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, especially during peak seasons.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
