The primary vision of the owners is to curate a rustic fine dining experience whilst also offering exceptional service, where the emphasis is placed on crafting outstanding food and wine pairings.

- Nurturing supplier relationships, overseeing stock ordering and rotation.
- Collaborative menu development with guests for various function menus.
What you will bring to the role:
We are in search of an experienced Head Chef with a proven track record in refined and premium dining establishments. The ideal candidate should embody a hands-on leadership style, leading by example and fostering a collaborative atmosphere among the team.
Given the location of the restaurant it is required that the Head chef resides in or is happy to relocate to Matakana or its surrounding areas.
What you will be rewarded with: - Competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, per annum depending on experience.
- Stunning location to work & live in
- Creativity is welcomed, put yourself on the plate!
It is important to note due to the seasonality nature of the location our client has a blackout period for annual leave from October - May each year and therefore staff are encouraged to utilise their leave entitlements during the quiet season June - September. Please note: Our client is not accredited and therefore you must have valid NZ working rights that do not require sponsorship to be considered for this opportunity.
