A brand new, stunning venue located in the heart of Sydney CBD is on the lookout for an exceptional Sommelier to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a landmark establishment that aims to set new standards in the city's vibrant dining scene.

The Sommelier will play a pivotal role in enhancing the venue’s sophisticated dining experience. This position involves working with a distinguished wine list, offering expert advice to guests, and ensuring a top-tier wine service that complements the venue’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the dining experience for guests.
• Conduct engaging wine tastings and educational sessions for both guests and staff.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers and manage inventory efficiently.
• Uphold the highest standards of wine service and guest interaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a similar high-end dining role. 
• Minimum Wset level 2 
• Knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to delivering outstanding service.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Relevant qualifications in wine and beverage management are highly regarded.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary of up to $80,000 per annum + Super
• Great tips in addition to the base salary
